I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Machine Elements and Engineering Design at the Darmstadt Institute of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany (Advisor: Prof. Herbert Birkhofer, a summary of my Ph.D. Thesis can be found here).

My M.Sc.E. degree in Aerospace Engineering is from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. My undergraduate is in Aeronautical Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.
